What to do on Spring Break

As spring break gets closer, some may have plans but many may not have any idea of what or how they are going to spend it. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a free week? To those who don’t know or have any plans of what to do during the break, we are going to give you some ideas on what you can possibly do.

If you are feeling like you should get out of your hometown and don’t want to spend too much money on expenses, why not plan a day trip? Planning a day trip is easy and it doesn’t take a lot of money to do. It can be as easy as going to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo or Pismo Beach. A plus side to this is not having to pay for lodging! As long as you get to spend a day other than at home, why not take a few friends or family and take the day to enjoy somewhere other than home?

If you don’t want to get out of the house much during spring break and don’t feel like traveling, another option is having a friend get together. You can invite all your friends over and buy a bunch of snacks, and stream movies or watch netflix and have a good time. Being with your friends is always a fun and easy way to have fun. You can also bake cake pops just to add some creativity and fun to the day.

This break from school is only a week long and though many teachers like to fill it with homework, make sure to take time to relax and unwind. A popular thing to do during this break is to go swimming. Whether it be at home or at the beach, many love to dip into the water or even just lay out and absorb the sun.

For many athletes spring break is no time to rest, but a time to continue the grind as many sports head into league. If you have some downtime during break and don’t know what to do, there is typically a baseball or softball game going on that you can go support. These athletes don’t take this time to rest, but use their break to continue to develop their game.

One of the most important things to do over break is to spend time with family. During school and work days many families don’t get much time to bond and connect with each other so this week is a great opportunity to do so. Break out a couple board games or that old sports ball you used to love so much and spend some quality time with your family, both immediate and distant.

Next week we will have the freedom to do what we want without having to wake up super early so enjoy your week, sleep in, and relax with friends and family while you have the chance.
