After countless hours of practice over the past few months, the Tulare Western High School Band and Color Guard will be competing in yet another show this year.
They’re at it again! This Saturday October 29th the Band and Color Guard will be battling it out in the Golden State Tournament of the Bands. After their awesome third place trophy from the Sierra Cup, the band is geared up and ready to take on their competitors yet again and hopefully change the outcome for the better. After their performance they have gotten the chance to speak with a few of the higher ups in the band including one of the three drum majors and the band director himself regarding this year’s Band and Guard.
“We’re very excited for this year to be the year that we become a force to be reckoned with again,” Jared Taylor, one of the bands drum majors tells our reporter.
“Seeing the Marching Band, Drumline, and Colorguard come together to present this year’s field show has been rewarding in itself. We have established more of a family environment and having an opportunity to present this year’s show in its full entiriety will be great,” the Band director, Mr.Alvidrez adds.
Our band members are extremely excited to show what their program has become in the past few years and strongly encourage others to join. They would also like to include a large ‘Thank You’ to their boosters who join them on the trips to competitions and provide us with much needed food and drink. “We can’t do it without you”
Here’s a good luck to the band from all of the school to you. We cannot wait to see how much you all progress in the next few competitions.
