Be ALL IN and PINK OUT

By Grace Wilbur

This Friday, October 21, Tulare Western Mustangs will be facing the Mission Oak Hawks. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the theme is PINK OUT!

Wearing pink in the month of October is more than just the color of clothing.

Today we asked Jenna Loftis what wearing pink in October meant to her.

“Wearing pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a way shows a kind of respect to the women who are battling or lost their lives to this horrible disease.”

One in eight women in the U.S. develops invasive breast cancer during their lifetime. According to the American Cancer Society, in 2016 it is estimated that about 246,000 new cases will arise in the U.S.

Be sure this Friday you come support the Mustang football team and wear pink to raise awareness for the women who are battling or have battled breast cancer.
