Girl culture in today’s society’s is one dysfunctional cycle among girls and women alike. If you’re looking for a way to change theses social norms, the non-profit organization I AM THAT GIRL is a great program that is on a mission to do just that.
How can you jump in, and join the movement you may ask? The first thing you need to do is find a local chapter to become involved with. Lucky for us we have one of the 221 chapters right here in Tulare!
Our local chapter, #306, is ran by Sarah Wilbur. Today, I met up with her and asked some question about IATG (I AM THAT GIRL). Here are her responses:
What made you want to start an IATG chapter? “I was inspired by the purpose behind the program and fell in love with their mission after talking to some people already involved with it.”
What is one thing you would like to share with people that you learned at IATG? “This can be life changing for anyone.”
What do you need to be THAT girl? “These are the requirements: She’s all ages, ethnicities, classes, and religions. She’s got a brilliant heart and beautyFULL mind. She is forever a work in progress, she seeks to be confident in her own skin. She speaks her truth, sees the best in others, and is leaving this world better than she found it.”
