Rap and Hip-Hop are Dead?

By Xavior Reyna

People think they can just put words in a sentence and it’s a hit. Rap and hip-hop aren’t just words with rhymes because it’s a culture and a mindset by itself.

These new rappers have ruined music with songs that don’t even make sense. Many great rappers are famous because they talk about the struggle they went through in their life and all the bad things that kicked them down. Now a days, they are just singing the same words over and over.

Great rappers had the toughest childhood or past. Like Eminem grew up with no father and was an outcast at every school he moved to. He grew up on the streets of Detroit’s east side. As a teenage dropout, Eminem found a way to express his passion for language, as well as to release his youthful anger, through the emerging musical genre of hip-hop. He was just a pale white guy but now he is one of the best rappers in the world.

New rappers are just little kids with no brains. They only talk about doing drugs and partying and drinking. The most played song now is Panda which all he is mostly saying is”Panda.” They only say the same words over and over.  New black rappers talk about doing drugs or being on drugs. Tupac would had been disappointed with these newbies.

“These new rappers that will be showing up, will not be caring about the black communities. Listen to their songs and ask yourself does this connect to you and is it the realist,” wise words from Tupac.
